So, this video marks the end of them for a while – so we thought we would go the extra mile! We’ve spent actual money and loads of time and effort in making it happen – so please, please share it on and spread the Screw Loose love, and although we hold no rights over the words and music to the original – you will see that we’ve updated the song – brought it on 50 years – and given it a bit more zip that our usual live cover version! Featuring Astro – our rapper – so again, please watch it all otherwise you won’t see the exclusive rap he’s done for us. It all fits with our recent 50 theme – bringing a 50-year-old song up to date – for our 50th video – in the 50th year of our drummer – Joff. Huge thanks to Aston – Instagram ast.ro7 for giving us so much of his time and to Dawn – Instagram @violet_generation for making it all happen. We were looking for something different – something that would cross generations – hence bringing in a young team to help us – and encouraging creativity from us – and from those that we got involved with – it’s been a barrel load of fun to do – and a bigger barrel full of hard work. Massive thanks also to Dan Charman who got a strange message from a mate of ours – got behind the project and lent us an Aston Martin for a video shoot! And not any old Aston either – a special edition that his absolutely delightful Granddad owns. The only disappointment is that everything was planned around this going out the weekend before we get back to gigging – with the extended Covid restrictions in the UK in June 2021 – this has been put off – but as we can’t wait to share this with everyone – we’ve decided to just go for it! I created this advert for my Final University project at The Arts University Bournemouth. This advert was created to raise the awareness of mental health in young people, based on the fact idea that just because you Can't see mental health, it doesn't mean it's not there. 1 in 4 people will suffer with mental health issues in the UK each year. I wanted to create 3 body paintings, each camouflaging my models into backgrounds so they are not visible to the viewer, just like mental health isn't.... They then make themselves visible, just like someone with mental health makes their problems visible to people when they talk about it. You Are Not Alone.
