Whether you have a side hustle you do around your 9-5 or are a full-time business owner, it feels hard to work on your Marketing as well as everything else on your plate š®āšØ (Trust me I feel you!) So hereās the method that I use and it works!
⨠TIME BLOCKINGāØ
I use this to organise everything from Personal Habits, Freelance Meetings to Family Events and Gym time.
Getting Started
Utilise a calendar app that syncs across devices like iCal, Google Calendar, Any.do or Microsoft Outlook.
Create a separate āCalendarā through your settings for your Work and Marketing Tasks
Pick a Good Colour thatāll stand out
Start carving out time (15, 30 or 45mins) for the tasks you need to complete at times that work best for you.
I recommend carving out time in your Morning Routine to do your Marketing Tasks so you can attack it with a fresh perspective and quickly get it out of the way.
This won't work for everyone, so make sure to pick a time that suits you and schedule any social posts to be at the best time of the day for your audience.
Hereās what my basic schedule looks like (Bar the 9-5 hours for my full-time job!):

As you can see I coded my Business Work in GREEN including my posting and socials interaction habits.

Creating Content in Your Routine

I also recommend planning a āContent Dayā each month in your calendar. This is what mine looks like ā”ļø
Putting in blocks to Shoot, Write and Schedule content so theyāre ready to go when you need it, even if itās extra bits or BTS if you donāt have much inspiration within the week. I don't always schedule all my content as sometimes I get writer's block!
So I work with what my brain is in the mood for and then the best part is I can move the blocks around in the schedule without a fuss.
